Night Runner 270 are lightweight LED units designed for runners who run at night. The units are 1.5 oz. each with a battery life of 3 to 5 hours. (Battery can be recharged with a USB port.) The light itself is bright and shoots ahead to 30+ feet and covers 270 degrees of visibility. The inventors of Night Runner 270, husband and wife team Doug and Renata Stoner, pitched their business on Shark Tank in 2016. On the show they agreed to a $250,000 investment from “Sporty Shark” Robert Herjavec in exchange for 15 percent equity, plus a $100,000 loan.

In April 2017, Forbes reported that the Shark Tank deal with Herjavec fell through “and it didn’t matter.” Stoner said after the show aired “We heard from 300 companies all over the world that would have bought it.” It being the Night Runner industrial product which they discussed on the show but hadn’t yet manufactured. Stoner says the industrial product will have a 10-hour battery life and twice the lumens. The new Night Runner industrial product is not yet featured on the Night Runner 270 website, but with 300 companies ready with purchase orders, you can bet the team is working all night (and under very good lighting, one should think!). The newest season of Shark Tank airs on Sundays at 9pm on ABC. 27 Favorite ‘Shark Tank’ Products at Amazon — New List
