The new NBC action/drama series The Brave tells the stories of Captain Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel) and his Special Ops squad. The military heroes take on dangerous missions behind enemy lines. In the pilot, they respond when an American doctor is kidnapped by a group with terrorist ties. They work remotely with DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) Deputy Director Patricia Campbell and her team of analysts.

Patricia Campbell is portrayed by Anne Heche. She is known for her roles on Men in Trees (Marin Frist), Everwood (Amanda Hayes), Ally McBeal (Melanie West), and Another World (Vicky Hudson/Marley Love), among others. Heche is also recognized for her roles in the 1990s films Donnie Brasco (Maggie), Wag the Dog (Winifred Ames), Six Days Seven Nights (Robin Monroe), and Volcano (Dr. Amy Barnes). Heche is also known for dating Ellen DeGeneres for three years (1997-2000) before she married cameraman Coley Laffoon, the father of her 15 year old son Homer. (They divorced in 2009). The Brave airs Mondays at 10pm on NBC.
