After Donald Trump withdrew a yet-to-be-issued White House invitation to NBA champion Golden State Warriors, the greatest player in the game — LeBron James — called the president a “bum.” Trump focused on Golden State star Steph Curry’s “hesitation” over the invitation, ignoring that NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant had said there was no way he was going on any Trump visit. Warriors coach Steve Kerr had said the team would meet to decide on a visit and that he hoped they would go, despite his own stark criticism of the president.

James called the POTUS “U bum” and pointed out that you can’t rescind an invitation that’s already been rejected. (see tweet below) James went on video to explain that he’s “frustrated” because Trump is “now using sports as a platform to try to divide us.” (see below)
U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!
