Michelle Obama made a splash by channeling Beyonce‘s “Formation” for the singer’s 36th birthday. Obama wasn’t the only person who sported the symbolic Beyonce braids, hat, and elaborate necklace/armor for the big event — but no one in the world is more famous than “Mrs. Michelle Obama” (as the picture reads) so the portrait went viral. Well, kind of viral. Because it wasn’t easily shared on social media it couldn’t go as viral as it might have. Even CNN, in covering the photo, used the Philip Lewis tweet (see below) to surface the picture. People understandably wanted to find the image and share it. As one Twitter user asked: “Did she release that or did someone photoshop it?”

The answer to the photoshopping remains unclear, but to find the photo make a visit to Beyonce’s site for “BeyDay”. There you’ll find the Michelle Obama photo along with similar pictures of Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Serena Williams and more. You know the internet is in a frenzy about something when the headlines start to read like high school yearbooks, claiming things like “Michelle Obama as Beyonce is Everything.” Michelle Obama as Beyonce is not, obviously, everything. But a lot of people think it’s pretty cool.
