Sweep Easy is a broom with a built-in scraper to remove sticky, dried-up messes on the floor. Stay-at-home dad Shane Pannell brought a prototype of his Sweep Easy broom on Shark Tank in 2011. He went into the Tank seeking $40,000 in exchange for 25 percent equity. On the show, he accepted an offer from Chris Harrington and Daymond John for $80,000 for 25 percent. The two investors thought the best way to build the business would be to create infomercials.

After Shark Tank, Pannell came out with a 2.0 version of his Sweep Easy prototype which includes a retractable scraper that’s operated with a button release system. “Sweep, Scrape and Go” is the tagline. You can pre-order a SweepEasy broom (available in blue, green or orange) for $19.95 on his website. Check out Pannell’s new infomercial below.
