Prolific hip hop superstar Kendrick Lamar has fans at South Park. He knows it because this parody could only come from love. Jim Bob becomes Cartman’s home digital assistant in the Season 21 South Park premiere, and Jim Bob goes acoustic on Lamar’s “Humble,” which the rapper released in March along with a video. (Very NSFW on that original “Humble” video, btw.) It may look easy, but Lamar is no Kanye West — the spoofs don’t just write themselves.
Lamar’s video for “Humble” has been viewed over 300 million times. Jim Bob has a way to go to catch up, but it’s a catchy version, Jim Bob’s countrified acoustic rendition. His left stroke, btw, just went viral. Here is a taste of the two performances. Visit South Park at Comedy Central here.
