Two fun food-related products go head-to-head on Steve Harvey’s Funderdome on September 17. The first up is Flaky Bakes – they look like cookies but they taste like pies. The second is Grilled Cheesus, a panini press that grills the face of Jesus Christ (or what inventor Meg Birch thinks He looks like) onto a sandwich. The rays of light surrounding Jesus are not just decorative but are designed to evenly distribute heat while toasting.

The Grilled Cheesus, which is also designed with non-stick plates which makes cleaning up easier, was the title of an episode of the TV musical series GLEE. It aired during Season 2; it was Finn (the late Cory Monteith) who thought he saw the face of Jesus in his grilled cheese sandwich. Birch says a portion of the Grilled Cheesus proceeds “go to doing good deeds around the world.” Steve Harvey’s Funderdome airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
