In the TV movie The Wrong Crush, Amelia (Victoria Konefal) is a track star in high school who has a strained relationship with her mother Tracy. What teenage girl doesn’t, right? But in Amelia’s case, her relationship with her mother is a bit more serious than most. Amelia was involved in the death of her best friend (which involved alcohol and drugs) and now she’s trying to put her past behind and regain her mother’s trust. When a new boy in school named Jake (Ricardo Hoyos) becomes dangerously obsessed with Amelia, mama Tracy saves the day.
Amelia’s mother, Tracy, is portrayed by Lesli Kay. She’s known for her roles on the soap operas The Bold and the Beautiful (Felicia Forrester), As the World Turns (Molly Conlan), and The Young and the Restless (Felicia Forrester), among others. Fun fact: Kay won a Daytime Emmy for her As the World Turns character Molly in 2001. The Wrong Crush premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, July 2 at 8pm.
