Three friends from San Diego pitched their beach towel business Sand Cloud Towels on Shark Tank in February. What makes Sand Cloud different from other beach towels is the material — they’re made of 100% super soft Turkish cotton — and their chic bohemian designs. They’re also quick drying and sand doesn’t stick on them like traditional beach towels. On Shark Tank, Sand Cloud made a deal with Robert Herjavec — $200,000 in exchange for 15 percent of the business.

After Shark Tank, CNBC reports that the three friends “used the money to improve the company’s website and buy inventory they desperately needed to fuel growth.” Sand Cloud Towels expects to do $7 million in sales by end of 2017 and to donate $1 million to non-profit organizations that protect marine life.
