MMA champ Conor McGregor was merely trolling his next opponent, Floyd Mayweather, when he ran into an objection from Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green. Green thought McGregor was sporting his #23 Warriors jersey in a post, but it wasn’t Green’s shirt. It was C.J. Watson’s jersey (he wore it before Green). Green told McGregor via social media to take off the jersey, saying his camp was “rocking with Floyd bro, not you.”
McGregor professed not to know who in hell Green is, and explained that “I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.” (McGregor may not know — or care — that Green likes to kick opponents in the groin.)
Anyway, when you disrespect Green he gets all mad and shouts out his credentials. In so doing he revealed that he thinks the Warriors will retire his number when the time comes, because he’s a “gold medalist, NBA champ, all star, DPOY.” Seems probably already. He didn’t claim the Hall of Fame — yet. McGregor isn’t likely intimidated though. After all, the reason he was wearing the Watson jersey is because Watson was allegedly the “summer love” of Mayweather’s former romantic partner Josie Harris, a fact Mayweather apparently didn’t like too much. If McGregor isn’t afraid to taunt Mayweather yet again (see below) he’s probably not too concerned about Draymond Green, DPOY (Defensive Player of the Year) or not. Mayweather, who has never lost a bout, is still planning a trip to the bank.
