The new dramedy Claws is set in a Florida nail salon where five diverse manicurists work. On the side, they launder money for a neighborhood pain clinic and are forced to deal with “the Dixie mafia.” The owner of Nail Artisans of Manatee County is Desna Nash (Niecy Nash). She hired a young sexy woman named Virginia to fill in for preppy Polly (Carrie Preston) who was sent away to jail (identity theft) and now recently released. Virginia tells Desna “I’m too cute for jail.”
Virginia is by Karrueche Tran. Before becoming an actress she was a celebrity stylist. As an actress, she’s known for her roles on The Bay (Vivian Johnson), Vanity (Vanessa Ivy), and in the films The Nice Guys (Tally-in-Porn) and 3-Headed Shark Attack (Maggie), among others. She is also known for dating R&B singer Chris Brown before and after he dated Rihanna. Claws airs Sundays at 9pm on TNT.
