In the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode ‘Moo Moo’, while Jake and Amy babysit Terry’s kids, Terry (Terry Crews) reaches out to a white police officer who stopped Terry while he was off-duty in his own neighborhood. At a restaurant, the officer tells Terry, “If I had known you were a cop, I would have never treated you that way.” When Terry argues it shouldn’t matter, the officer says it was pretty obvious Terry didn’t belong there — where Terry lives!
Officer Maldack is portrayed by Desmond Harrington. Harrington is known for his roles on Shooter (Lon Scott), Limitless (FBI Agent Casey Rooks), The Astronaut Wives Club (Alan Shepard), Dexter (Det. Joey Quinn), Gossip Girl (Jack Bass), Rescue Me (Troy), Sons & Daughters (Wylie Blake), and the 2004 reboot of Dragnet (Det. Jimmy McCarron), among others. Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
