Dominique McClain Barteet is the inventor of One Sole, a line of shoes — slip-on sandals actually — that come with interchangeable tops. She pitched her business on Shark Tank and impressed Barbara Corcoran who said the comfortable shoes were like “heaven.” While Corcoran said it would take too much of her time to help build the brand, fashion guru Daymond John offered Dominique $500,000 for 35 percent equity in One Sole, and she accepted.
One Sole shoes vary in style (1” flats to 5” heels) and price from $60 to 95. The brand now makes collegiate comfie tops too with school logos — so you can wear your school pride, be comfortable and look terrific all at once. See below.
