In The Blacklist episode ‘Requiem’, Red Reddington’s (James Spader) past catches up to him and haunts him when he receives a call from an enemy he thought was dead. Flashbacks show a young Mr. Kaplan aka Kate visiting Katarina (Lotte Verbeek) and her cherub baby girl Masha.
Young Kate aka Mr. Kaplan is portrayed by Joanna P. Adler. She’s known for her roles on Orange Is the New Black (Chaplain Royce), Devious Maids (Opal Sinclair), Are We There Yet? (Mrs. Phillips), and in the 2003 film School of Rock (Summer’s Mother), among others. The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
