The Toy Box is a new reality competition TV show that puts the spotlight on toy designers. Actor Eric Stonestreet (Cam on Modern Family) is the host of the show. He’s the go-between the designers and the panel of kid judges who decide which toys get manufactured by Mattel and sold exclusively at Toys R Us. In the first episode, three toys are pitched including a multicultural singing doll, a wacky worm and a party cannon.

One day prior to the series premiere, Stonestreet, 45, posted a hilarious video of his mother (Jamey Anne née Ball Stonestreet) floating in a pool. She’s heard saying, “This is the life, booboo!” (That accent you hear is pure Kansas City, Kansas.) See/hear below. The Toy Box airs Fridays at 8pm on ABC, right before Shark Tank.
