Jesse Larson is the rock star on Team Adam on The Voice, Season 12. The Minneapolis native isn’t just a singer but a musician (guitar) and craftsman (he makes his own guitars!). For his Blind Audition he sang “Jealous Guy” by John Lennon which provoked Alicia Keys to describe his voice as “next level killer.” Jesse has since advanced to the Live Playoffs, which begin April 17, after performing/crushing the Joe Cocker song “The Letter.”

Jesse has another advantage on The Voice – experience. In 2015 he says he got a call from Prince to work with his all-girl band 3rdEyedGirl. Even though Jesse says “I had Prince sitting 15 feet away from me, watching, critiquing everything I played on guitar,” he still wasn’t in the spotlight like he is on The Voice. He admits he’s always been “the guy hiding in the corner” on stage…until now. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
