In the American Housewife episode ‘Other People’s Marriages’, Katie Otto (Katy Mixon) learns the hard way to not get involved in other people’s marriages. She encourages her neighbor Viv (Leslie Bibb) to stand up to her husband Alan, but then Viv leaves Alan and moves in with Katie and her family. It’s not an ideal situation.

Alan is portrayed by stand-up comedian Jay Mohr. He’s known for his roles on Suburgatory (Steven Royce), Gary Unmarried (Gary), Ghost Whisperer (Professor Rick Payne), and his various roles on Saturday Night Live (1993-1995), among others. Mohr is also recognized for his roles in the films Jerry Maguire (Bob Sugar) and Pay It Forward (Chris Chandler). Mohr is the host of the podcast Mohr Stories and the daily show “Jay Mohr Sports” on FOX Sports radio. American Housewife airs Tuesdays at 8:30pm on ABC.
