The new TV series Trial and Error is a fake documentary about a poetry professor named Larry Henderson (John Lithgow) who’s been arrested for the murder of his wife Margaret. The professor isn’t taking any of it seriously, quite the opposite. In an interrogation room he kids about being known as “a lady killer” when younger. What’s really interesting about the series is that the actors don’t know who murdered Margaret. Every week they get a new script with new clues.

Henderson’s daughter Summer is portrayed by Krysta Rodriguez. She’s known for her TV roles on Chasing Life (cancer patient Vanessa), Smash (Ana Vargas), and for originating the role of Wednesday Addams in the Addams Family Musical on Broadway in 2010. She also starred in First Date the Musical on Broadway in 2013. Trial and Error airs Tuesdays at 10pm on NBC.
