On the new drama Shots Fired, an investigator (Sanaa Lathan) and prosecutor (Stephan James) are hired to find answers behind the shooting of an unarmed white man by a black police officer. During their investigation, they decide to take on another shooting but of an unarmed black man by, they suspect, a white police officer. During their investigations, they speak with the mothers of both young men.
Jesse’s mother, Alicia Carr, is portrayed by Jill Hennessy. The Canadian-born actress is known for her roles on Madam Secretary (Jane Fellows), The Good Wife (Rayna Hecht), Law & Order (Claire Kincaid), and Crossing Jordan (Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh), among others. Shots Fired airs Wednesdays at 8pm on FOX.
