During Season 2 of Little Big Shots, host Steve Harvey will welcome Ansleigh Clark to the stage. The 4-year-old from Saint Augustine, Florida became a viral video star last year after cutting her own hair. Her mother Jennifer was out of town the day Ansleigh cut off her bangs and gave herself a mullet. Her father Chad filmed Ansleigh, then 3, explaining why she did it.
In the video (below), Ansleigh tells her father she did it because family friend Miss Jessica cuts hair. Chad tries to explain that “Miss Jessica” went to school to learn how to cut hair but that’s not a very satisfying answer to 3-year-old Ansleigh. “But I was just practicing today,” Ansleigh says in between sobs. After agreeing not to cut her hair, Ansleigh announces she’s going to cut hair with Miss Jessica when she gets bigger. The video was posted a year ago and has since been viewed more than 4 million times. At the time, Chad Clark told Today: “When I noticed that she had no more bangs, my first thought was, ‘Oh crap, my wife is going to kill me!’ And my second thought was, ‘On the bright side, she will never leave me alone for the weekend with the kids again.’” Little Big Shots airs Sundays at 8pm on NBC.
