In the new series Doubt, a group of passionate lawyers including defense attorney Sadie Ellis (Katherine Heigl) works for Isaiah Roth, “a revered legal lion and ‘lefty’ legend, whose approval is their holy grail.” Sadie risks everything when she falls into a relationship with her client, Dr. Billy Brennan (Steven Pasquale), a pediatric surgeon who’s been accused of a murder 24 years ago.
Isaiah Roth is portrayed by Elliott Gould. He’s known for his roles in the films Ocean’s Thirteen, Ocean’s Eleven (Reuben Tishkoff), American History X (Murray), and MASH (Trapper John McIntyre), among many others. Gould is also recognized for his roles on the TV shows Ray Donovan (Ezra Goodman), Mulaney (Oscar), Friends (Monica and Ross’s father Jack Geller), and ER (Dr. Howard Sheinfeld). P.S. He was married to Barbra Streisand from 1963 to 1971. Doubt airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CBS.
