Legal drama TV genius Dick Wolf (Law & Order) is still at it. Following the success of Chicago PD, Chicago Med and Chicago Fire comes Chicago Justice. In the series premiere episode “Fake,” a man suspected of causing a fire in a warehouse which killed 39 police stands trial in Judge Danielle Melnick’s courtroom. Prosecutor Peter Stone (Philip Winchester) and investigator Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) are trying to convict the suspect but it won’t be easy fighting against defense attorney Albert Forest (guest star Bradley Whitford).
Judge Melnick is portrayed by Tovah Feldman. She’s known for her roles on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Naomi Bunch), The Walking Dead (Deanna Monroe), Flesh and Bone (Ivana), Law & Order (also as Judge Melnick), and As the World Turns (Dr. Bethany Rose), among others. Feldman is also recognized for her role as Judy Stein in the 2001 film Kissing Jessica Stein. Chicago Justice airs Wednesdays at 10pm on NBC.
