Yellow Tail, the Australian wine company, is taking a page out of the old Super Bowl commercial playbook. The ad features a beautiful, buxom woman wearing a bikini on the beach. Step two: add humor to the sex appeal. The goofy spokesperson (wearing a yellow suit and traveling with the Yellow Tail mascot, a kangaroo) asks the model, “Want to pet my roo?” The model bends down and says, “Sure, I’ll pet your roo.” And… scene.
The bikini-clad model is Australian Ellie Gonsalves. She says she grew up “climbing trees, playing sports, and riding horses.” Before moving to America in 2015, she had been on the cover of Maxim three times.
