The Spurs take their annual giant barnstorming road trip to Indiana tonight, looking to make it a fourth straight loss for the Pacers. The Spurs are 8-1 in back-to-backs this season, being among the NBA’s best in regrouping and focusing after a loss. The Spurs lone All-Star selection and MVP contender Kawhi Leonard has scored 30+ points in three straight road games entering Indiana. There he’ll meet Paul George, the Pacers lone 2017 All-Star.
George and Leonard resemble one another in size and athleticism. Both are recognized as that rare, coveted NBA gem: the two-way wing player. They are both the best defensive players on their teams, though Leonard leads a more all-around defensively oriented team in San Antonio. George averages 22.5 ppg while Leonard nets 25.8.
