Ryan Woltz is the entrepreneur behind Edn Garden, a dirt-less garden designed to be planted on a wall. His company Edntech makes the standalone gardens that don’t require sunlight, constant watering, or tilling of soil. It uses “NASA technology to grow plants from seed to bloom.” One garden planter (32” x 30” x 8”) holds up to 21 plants, herbs, and/or flowers. There’s a water reservoir built into the planter that releases the exact amount of water needed for the plants. And it comes with LED lights which turn blue when it’s time to refill the reservoir.

An Edn small garden is $149; an Edn wall garden is $499. Woltz will pitch Edn Garden on Shark Tank (February 17) which airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
