The pet grooming industry is a big one to break through in and cat-loving couple Tara and Jason O’Mara think they can do it with their business, PDX Pet Design. Their big seller is SHRU, an egg-shaped toy with a feathery tail that keeps kitties entertained for hours. (Sounds included.) One big selling point of SHRU is its USB rechargable battery. The second PDX Pet Design product is Licki Brush, a grooming brush that emulates a self-grooming cat’s tongue. The O’Maras are looking for an investment to help get Licki Brush into the hands of cat-lovers everywhere, that’s why they’re pitching the business on Shark Tank (January 7).
The PDX Pet Design SHRU retails for $119 and is available on Amazon . The Licki Brush sells for $25 and is also available on Amazon. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
