On the Married to Medicine episode ‘Brazilian Bombshells’, all the ladies gather for Quad Webb-Lunceford’s Brazilian Carnivale-themed birthday party. (Well, all of the ladies but Mariah Huq who was not invited.) At the party, while wearing a colorful feathered headdress Dr. Simone Whitmore approaches Dr. Jackie Walters’s husband Curtis. She has a bone to pick with Curtis. She tells him in disbelief, “You stood me up!” Simone is referring to the group excursion to Hawaii where Simone and her husband Cecil renewed their vows. (Jackie was there, Curtis was a no show.) “I was with you in spirit. I just couldn’t be with you physically,” Curtis tells Simone. Simone ain’t buying it. “You know, I take this s–t personal.” Then she really pours on the guilt: “I thought out of everybody, that you had a love for me and Cecil.”
When Simone and Curtis join the others, Curtis tells everyone that he’s been reprimanded by Simone. He tells the group, “Hey, I didn’t leave my wife, my wife left me.” That comment causes several eyebrows to raise and provokes a wave of disapproving ooohs. Married to Medicine airs Fridays at 8pm on Bravo.
