Former NFL quarterback-turned-head coach Jim Harbaugh made his debut as head coach of the Michigan Wolverines (his alma mater) in 2015 and led the team to victory in the 2016 Citrus Bowl (against the Florida Gators, 41-7.) Harbaugh and Michigan (10-2) are now facing Florida State (9-3) at the Orange Bowl. Both teams have records they want to break. Michigan hasn’t won consecutive bowls since 2001. FSU has never lost three straight bowl games.
Coach Harbaugh, 52, is breaking a new personal record too. He and his wife Sarah (nee Feuerborn) Harbaugh, 37, are expecting their fourth child together. It will be Harbaugh’s seventh (he has three children from his first marriage). Harbaugh made the announcement on Father’s Day and said, “There’s nothing I’d rather be defined as than a dad.” The Orange Bowl will air Friday, December 30 at 8:10pm on ESPN.
