On the Married to Medicine episode ‘The Breast-Est of Friends,’ while Dr. Jackie Walters plans a topless charity photo shoot that totally backfires, Toya Bush-Harris and her husband Dr. Eugene Harris receive an email from their son Avery’s teacher. According to the teacher, the 4-year-old boy urinated on the bathroom floor intentionally and playfully kicked a child in the face. Toya tells the camera: “The only way this financial burden has started affecting our children is the fact that Eugene is working more. He’s not giving them fun Eugene, the happy Eugene, the one that wants to play with them all the time.” She adds, “So does that affect the child, yeah, of course.”

When Eugene suggests taking away Avery’s iPad (he’s four), Toya says, “That’s going to hurt us.” There is some helpful advice for Toya and Eugene in Nicholas Kardaras’s important book, Glow Kids: How Screen Addiction Is Hijacking Our Kids-and How to Break the Trance — though the book doesn’t advise on financial strain. Married to Medicine airs Sundays at 9pm on Bravo.
