On The Big Bang Theory episode ‘The Brain Bowl Incubation’, while Sheldon (Jim Parsons) tries to persuade Amy (Mayim Bialik) to procreate (after seeing a successful gene experimentation), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) meets his new lady friend Issabella at the office. He’s hesitant to introduce Isabella to his friends because of her job — she’s an office cleaning woman.
Isabella is portrayed by Maria Canals-Barrera. The Miami-born actress (50) is known for her roles on Cristela (Daniela), Wizards of Waverly Place (Theresa Russo, Selena Gomez’s mother), Curb Your Enthusiasm (Dalilah the Hygientist), American Family (Christy), and The Tony Danza Show (Carmen Cruz), among others. The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8pm on CBS.
