The new USA Network drama Shooter is about Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillippe, Secrets and Lies), a highly-decorated war hero who’s been pulled out of retirement by his former Commanding Officer to help deter the assassination of the President of the United States. It’s not an easy job for the Marine sniper. He has exactly 21 days to prevent the killing and protect the country.
[Shooter is based on the novel “Point of Impact” by Stephen Hunter, and the 2007 film starring Mark Wahlberg]
Swagger’s Commander Isaac Johnson is portrayed by Omar Epps. He’s known for his roles on Resurrection (Agent Martin J Bellamy), House (Dr. Eric Foreman), and ER (Dr. Dennis Gant), among others. Epps is also well recognized for his roles in the films Major League II (Willie Mays Hayes), Scream 2 (Phil), Love & Basketball (Quincy) and Juice (Q) opposite the late Tupac Shakur. Shooter airs Tuesdays at 10pm on USA.
