We’re supposed to be a country where celebrities and billionaires have all the power. But the lion’s share of brand name celebs backed Hillary Clinton and so did many of the prominent billionaires, including Warren Buffett. As a long term investor extraordinaire, Buffett has learned to accept that things don’t always go his way. But the system remains sound, insists the Sage of Omaha.
Buffett now says Trump “deserves everybody’s respect.” He does, however, think Trump is unlikely to match his campaign promise to speedily grow the economy. “Nobody can grow the economy 4% in real terms over time. The math is too extraordinary,” Buffett told CNN Money. That’s okay though, as Buffett sees it. Buffett says 2% growth will produce gains in wages and stock prices.
