Sister Wives is back. In the Season 7 premiere episode ‘It’s Worse Than We Thought,’ while tensions between Meri and first wife Mariah continue to escalate, and their husband Kody tries to play peacemaker, there is cause for celebration. Madison “Maddy” Brown is getting married to Caleb Brush. During the preparations for the June wedding, Mykelti’s boyfriend Antonio “Tony” Padron asks Kody for his blessing before proposing. (Mykelti is Kody’s 20-year-old daughter with third wife Christine Brown.)

Kody doesn’t technically give Tony his blessing. Kody says he has two requests: First, that Tony “never discourage your children from plural marriage.” While Tony and Mykelti will have a monogamous marriage, Tony says he agrees to that. Kody also asks Tony to wait “10 months to a year” before getting married. Tony doesn’t say yes or no to that one. He says, he’ll have to talk to Mykelti about that. Sister Wives airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
