The LA Clippers stand atop the Western Conference elite logjam at 13-2, having gone 9-1 over their last ten games. But in a sign that the Western Conference will remain a competitive mystery deep into the season — despite the moving around of some famous pieces — can be seen in this: The Warriors just won their eighth straight game and stand at 12-2, while they work on their chemistry. And the inevitable Spurs, at 11-3, are now winners of six straight.
That means Kevin Durant and Pau Gasol are fitting nicely with their new squads. The Grizzlies and the Rockets, both off to good starts and both 7-3 over the last ten, will have to do something special, once again, to upset the thick cream at the top of the conference.
