On the ninth week of performances on Dancing with the Stars, the guest judge and performer is Idina Menzel. The Broadway star is known for her roles on Rent (Maureen Johnson), Wicked (Elphaba), and If/Then (Elizabeth), and as the voice of Queen Elsa who sang “Let It Go” in the Disney film Frozen. She is currently promoting her solo album, Idina.
Menzel says the album is pretty much autobiographical. She says: “I usually wear my heart on my sleeve…to a fault.” Menzel adds: “I just don’t know how else to do it.” She explains that being authentic is how you do it, as a performer, how you reach people. “I chose to call the album Idina because I want people to understand that I’m sort of being my true self. This is me stripped down.” Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
So excited to share my new album with you all. Thank you for all your support. xo https://t.co/LdlfJDJM56 pic.twitter.com/ansfhEXczf
