On Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer revisits four bars he helped rebrand and renovate including The Brixton in East Austin, Texas. Taffer rebranded the bar as Rocket Room 6 but the moment he left, the owner Tim reverted to The Brixton name and look. Tim said the Rocket Room 6 idea was “dumb as sh-t” and the redesign reminded him of “a 12-year-old boy’s bedroom.” That said, Tim does give credit to Taffer for helping to mend his working relationship with his wife Sarah, which Taffer said was his biggest obstacle.
Tim also gives Taffer kudos for the signature cocktails menu and the idea for the garage door. The added outdoor space has made Tim a lot of money. So much so that he and Sarah have opened a second bar. Bar Rescue airs Sundays at 10pm on Spike.
