On The Profit, investor Marcus Lemonis visits Bowery Kitchen Supplies, a 20-year-old retail store that sells restaurant and kitchen supplies at Manhattan’s popular Chelsea Market. (The original store opened on the Bowery in 1975, hence the name.) The store has suffered since the co-owners’ divorce. On The Profit, Lemonis tries to find a way to get co-owner Howie Nourieli to treat his ex-wife and partner Robyn Coval with respect. Howie disrespects Robyn by saying things including: “We’re 50/50 because I gave her 50.” Lemonis also tries to find a way to curb Howie’s spending on merchandise he can’t afford and his two-months vacation time.
In August 2016, after closing for two weeks for a complete remodeling, the Bowery Kitchen Supply celebrated a reopening. (See photo below.) The Profit airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
