Cyndi Lee of Houston, Texas is the inventor of Safe Grabs, a multi-functional kitchen tool/accessory. It’s a flexible silicone disc primarily designed to grab a hot plate out of the microwave. It also works as a trivet, a jar opener, a splatter guard, a Tupperware cover, a placemat, a utensil holder, and a funnel. Lee has put a lot of time, energy and money into Safe Grabs (formally Micro Easy Grab) and now she’s pitching her business on Shark Tank (October 21). It will be interesting to see if Lori Grenier — the Queen of QVC (where Cyndi Lee has already appeared) — pegs Safe Grabs as a hero or a zero.
Safe Grabs, which are available in red, orange, blue and purple, are currently being sold on the SafeGrabs website: 10” Safe Grab is $10.36; 12” Safe Grab is $11.96; and a 2-pack is $21.56. SafeGrabs are also sold on Amazon. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
