On the Season 3 premiere episode of Madam Secretary, Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) asks President Dalton (Kevin Carradine) to reconsider his stance on climate change and foreign policy. If the president were to take her advice, he would risk a lot during the election year. While Elizabeth struggles to convince the President, she bumps into her old college professor Chief Justice Frawley. Last time we saw Frawley he swore in Secretary McCord when the President and Vice President temporarily went MIA on Air Force One.
