NFL inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman of the San Francisco 49ers got injured in Sunday’s game against the Cowboys (the Cowboys won 24-17). The 28-year-old first-team All-Pro is out for the season due to a torn Achilles tendon. The big question now is how are the 49ers going to replace Bowman for their next game against the Arizona Cardinals (Thursday, October 6, 8:25pm, CBS) — and beyond.

Good news is outside linebacker Aaron Lynch is back after a four-game suspension. Lynch said of Bowman’s injury: “That’s a horrible loss… He was one of the leaders of our defense. Everyone knows who NaVorro Bowman is. He’s always one of the guys on the field that (offenses) game plan for.” While Lynch will have to step it up for the team, it appears Bowman will be home watching the game wearing a pair of fuzzy slippers provided by Ugg. On the box it reads “Do Nothing.”
