On the Empire episode ‘Sin That Amends,’ the Lyon family is keeping busy for the good and bad. While Lucious (Terrence Howard) tries to get Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) on his side, Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) is in the studio, and Andre (Trai Byers) gets into trouble with the law. After being shot, Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) meets businessman Angelo Dubois. The dapper businessman invites Jamal to talk about gun violence at a summit he’s hosting. Jamal accepts even though his father Lucious sees Dubois as a threat.
Angelo Dubois is portrayed by Taye Diggs. The triple-threat (actor/singer/dancer) is known for his roles on Murder in the First (Terry English), Rosewood (Dr. Mike Boyce), The Good Wife (Dean Levine-Wilkins), Private Practice (Dr. Sam Bennett), and Ally McBeal (Jackson Duper), among others. Diggs is also recognized for his roles in the Best Man movies (Harper) and others including Rent (Benjamin Coffin III) and Chicago (Bandleader). Empire airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX.
