On Catfish: The TV Show, catfish expert Nev Schulman and his filmmaker friend Max Joseph visit a former Playboy model and dancer Jayme who believes her online boyfriend is fake. Turns out she’s not the only woman who has fallen for his online trap. The man who claims to be “Lucas” has been catfishing hundreds of women across the US and around the world. As Nev and Max chase down “Lucas,” they also stop to help YouTube star Andrea Russett, who tells them of her catfishing experience: “Once you involve my family, it’s taking it too far.”
Andrea Russett is the 21-year-old internet personality who has more than 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube. This year she starred in the full-length thriller film Sickhouse, which was released in segments via her Snapchat account. Catfish: The TV Show airs Wednesdays at 10pm on MTV.
