Tyler Perry is the creator behind TLC’s first scripted series Too Close to Home. It’s about a young woman from Alabama, Anna (Danielle Savre), who leaves her trailer park home in Alabama for Washington, D.C. She gets a job working in the White House and ends up having an affair with the President of the United States. The affair doesn’t stay a secret for long and the President’s wife isn’t too happy about the negative PR.

The First Lady is portrayed by Heather Locklear. She’s best known for her roles on Melrose Place (Amanda Woodward), Spin City with Michael J. Fox and Charlie Sheen (Caitlin Moore), Dynasty (Sammy Jo), and TJ Hooker with William Shatner (Officer Stacy Sheridan), among others. Too Close to Home premieres Monday, August 22 at 9pm on TLC.
