Kevin Waltermire of South Carolina pitched his product, Beverage Boy, a koozie that floats in water, on Shark Tank in 2015. His pitch wasn’t a hit with everyone. Plus, he had only sold $10,000 worth of product before appearing on the show. Investor Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary said “This idea is so bad. I’m out.” But Daymond John, who found success with 180 Cups, invested $50,000 in exchange for 35 percent equity of BevBoy.

While BevBoy continues to sell online – on its website and on Amazon — according to LinkedIn, Waltermire launched a new company after Shark Tank called MusicBoxx. The app is described as one that catalogs “your life through music videos.”
