In the Return to Amish episode “You Lie!” the whole gang is still in New York City, crashing at Kate Stoltz’s apartment. While young Esther Schmucker strikes a deal with her mother Mary to experience English life, her brother Abe Schmucker says he found his wife Rebecca “having a panic attack” in the apartment. Rebecca is heard crying and saying, “I know I should have done some stuff different but she keeps throwing it back in my face.” Rebecca is referring to the recovering drug addict Sabrina.
Abe tells Rebecca he’ll “take care of it” and promises her “it won’t happen again.” When Abe finds Sabrina outside smoking a cigarette, he tells her: “You do not raise your voice, you do not yell at my wife ever again. Do you understand that?” Sabrina calmly tells Abe that he can’t control her. Abe claims that he can. Return to Amish airs Sundays at 9pm on TLC.
