Jen and Serafina of Hip Chick Farms are pitching their line of healthy, frozen chicken products (chicken nuggets, chicken fingers, chicken meatballs) on West Texas Investors Club. The farming couple from Sebastopol, California took out a second mortgage on their house, and have so far put $250,000 into the business. They are literally betting the farm.
Potential investors Butch and Rooster put the couple to the test by gathering a group of chicken nugget eating kids and their moms at a natural food store. During a graphic demonstration, Jen and Serafina explain what parts of “a dead chicken” are used in most frozen chicken nuggets.
