While Good Witch takes a summer break, Hallmark Channel will introduce fans to Chesapeake Shores, a romantic drama based on the New York Times bestselling books by Sherryl Woods. In the small beach town of Chesapeake Shores, Abby O’Brien (Meghan Ory), a high-powered career woman who’s in town to visit her family, is reunited with her high school sweetheart Trace. Ever since they were teenagers, Trace said he would buy “the beach shack” from Abby’s father and now he has. Abby and Trace will make new memories in the shack, guaranteed.

Trace is portrayed by Jesse Metcalfe. He’s known for his roles on Dallas (Christopher Ewing), Chase (Luke Watson), Desperate Housewives (John Rowland), and Passions (Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald), among others. Metcalfe is also recognized for his lead role in the 2006 film John Tucker Must Die. Chesapeake Shores premieres Sunday, August 14 at 9pm on Hallmark Channel.
