Roger Federer gave an interview to ATP World Tour in which they asked the tennis eminence about the last time he did certain things — like cook for himself. (It has been many years. He can’t cook.) But in the midst of puffy questions like “when was the last time you had travel drama?” was one question real tennis fans may find interesting. They asked Federer: “When was the last time your coach, Ivan Ljubicic, aced you?”
Federer, who wears his status lightly, replied matter-of-factly. “Last week,” Federer said laughing. “Three days. Out wide of the outside. Where else?” 37-year-old Ivan Ljubicic retired from tennis in 2012 after winning more than $10 million on tour. The 6’4″ Croation was once ranked No. 3 in the world. Highly regarded as a person and professional, Ljubicic served on the ATP board when he was still an active player.
