Be honest, you’ve probably had forty winks at work when the boss isn’t around. A little cat-nap, nothing more. Just a chance to rest your eyelids and recharge the batteries. No harm done, right? But what happens if your boss catches you? That’s exactly what happened to an employee at Virgin Australia when Richard Branson stopped by the office.
Instead of firing or reprimanding the employee, however, Branson decided to do something even worse: humiliate him on the Internet. “I popped into the office and the airport to say hello and check in to see what the team are up to,” Branson writes on the Virgin.com blog. “This guy wasn’t up to much at all – I caught him sleeping on the job! Wow, did he get a shock when I woke him up. He must have thought he was dreaming because he went straight back to sleep. To be fair, he was on standby, getting some much needed rest.”
