Benjamin Stern of Melbourne, Florida is the inventor of Nohbo Ball. It’s a ball of shampoo wrapped in a plant-based material so there’s no need for a bottle. Zero waste. The ball is activated by water or friction. Stern hopes to one day replace those little shampoo and conditioner bottles in hotels worldwide with bottleless balls of Nohbo. He said as much when he pitched Nohbo on Shark Tank in February 2016 and secured a deal with billionaire Mark Cuban ($100k for 25 percent).

Since appeared on Shark Tank, Stern has been sharing his business experience and knowledge as an advisor to HatchPad. It’s a network developed for kid entrepreneurs (ages 13 to 23) to help them raise money for their projects, exchange ideas, and find mentors. According to Stern’s LinkedIn account, he advises HatchPad and assists them with “a proper growth strategy” as well as “promote other young entrepreneurs to grow their businesses with HatchPad’s assistance.” Prior to Nohbo, Stern was working as a cashier at Wegmans. He will graduate from Viera High School in 2017.
